Some big news to share... the Kickstarter campaign for the upcoming sequel to Supercade: A Visual History of the Videogame Age launched today and reached the funding goal in five hours. Absolutely stunned by the support. Thank you so much to everyone who backed the project. Grateful beyond words.
The new volume will chronicle the next era of gaming history, beginning with the NES and including the release of Sega Master System, SNES, Genesis, TurboGrafx-16, Game Boy, Amiga, Atari Jaguar, N64, launch of PlayStation, Xbox and more, as well as all the companies, creators, and technologies that drove us into the digital future.
Hardcover Edition will not be available on Amazon!
The sequel will also feature some amazing contributors. So far I've recruited "Art of Atari" author Tim Lapetino, Ian Bogost, Chris Melissinos, Funomena founder Robin Hunicke, Arcade Tokyo's Roland Ingram, "Power-Up" author Chris Kohler, Boss Fight Books founder Gabe Durham, Mike Mika, former Kill Screen editor Chris Priestman, Kotaku founder Brian Crecente, Chris Charla, Edge contributing editor Chris Schilling, Dean Takahashi, Nathan Altice, and YACHT frontwoman Claire L. Evans, among many others.
If you haven't already seen the campaign please check it out... this book is shaping up to be better than the original!
Hope you are all safe and surviving the chaos...
