Summer is here and I want to apologize for the lack of updates to the shop… for the past two years I’ve been in development and production for the sequel to my book, Supercade: A Visual History of the Videogame Age, and it has been an incredible odyssey.
Writing, designing, and producing this book has been an absolutely insane amount of work — at times pushing my sanity and stress level to the breaking point — but it was so worth it. The new book chronicling 1985-2001 looks totally AMAZING!
Special thanks to all of the backers and contributors who supported the project… I could not have done this without you. I’m so grateful for everyone’s generosity and patience throughout this process.
And what an adventure it has been… from switching printers mid-stream to additional covid lockdowns to paper shortages to global shipping meltdowns… I have run a gauntlet to get to the finish line and can’t wait to finally share this with everyone. It is so much cooler than I ever imagined it could be.

Print orders are signed, press schedules are set, and final proofs are being approved… we are now just waiting for the second order of paper to arrive in order to begin printing next month.
I’ll be taking the rest of June off to recover. Lol.
That said, I’ll be heading to Santa Clara in July for California Extreme, the annual arcade show that is finally returning to the Hyatt Regency, which will be filled with hundreds of classic arcade machines and thousands of retrogaming nerds. Supercade will be there to represent with show specials on signed books and sundry items, so please come find us if you are there.
I'm also thrilled to share that I’m partnering with Soho House to relaunch the Arcadia exhibitions at Soho Warehouse in Downtown LA. The first show in West Hollywood was a huge success and I really look forward to working with everyone at Soho House again. The club is for members only so you'll need to know someone with a membership to get in, but it is going to be incredibly cool and I will be sharing more details when dates are confirmed. This show is going to be even better than the last!
